Four months before the big day of "I Do's" Luke and I decided that we were going to need a place to call home. During the daunting task of house hunting we came across a small craftsman style home on Cleveland. It was love at first sight. Built in 1910, the two bedroom, one bathroom was everything we dreamed of for our first home together. It had the bare minimum. Everything had been stripped and it had been vacant for that past year. The possibilities were endless and we had dreams of what we could make this little house.
Our little Cleveland home was a difficult catch. When we first stumbled on our home it was on the short sale list. "Perfect we thought. We've found a red tag house!" After placing our bid we were informed of the sad news that Cleveland was headed for auction. Knowing that there was no way we could buy it at auction we abandoned our dream of a life on Cleveland.
After a month of house hunting and not feeling a tug on my heartstrings, we found that life on Cleveland was back on the market. Now our little house was a clearance house and we had another shot. As soon as we could we put our bid in. The waiting game began. Every minute seemed like days, as we waited for the bank to respond. Finally we came to an agreement and the house was ours!
We were so happy to own the home that stole our hearts. We had lots to do before we could live in it and only a month to get it ready before the wedding.
